Royal Gorge Region

The Royal Gorge Region has a rich history of outdoor beauty and recreation. Millions of years ago, the dinosaurs were the first mountain bikers, rafters and hikers in our region. They thought it was so awesome they decided to fossilize themselves here for all to see! Check out some of the other fabulous activities our region has to offer!

Fly Fishing

The fishing in Big Horn Sheep Canyon is beautiful. The arkansas is a gold medal river and you won’t regret your trip to fish the river.

No matter the season, the Royal Gorge train has something to offer. Santa trains in the winter are a family favorite. If you have little kids staying with you and are riding the train let us know!

The Arkansas river is one of the most beautiful scenic rivers to raft in the country. Rafting the Royal Gorge is a bucket list experience that you will remember forever.

Drive highway 50 west and download the Bighorn Sheep Canyon Audio Tour. Try Skyline Drive, or drive on the scenic gold belt Byway. You can’t go wrong.
